What is FANTIC?

FANTIC stands for "Financial Assistance for Noncredit Training for Industry Credentials" and provides funding to learners who can demonstrate financial need and want to enroll in an approved training program leading to an industry-recognized credential or licensure. FANTIC pays for students' cost of class tuition after FastForward. With FANTIC and FastForward, students can earn a Workforce Credential at no cost.

How to apply

  1. Schedule an appointment with a Workforce Advisor
Your advisor will provide important program information and requirements and help you create a profile in the Workforce system. To be eligible for FANTIC, students must show as domiciled in VA and qualify for FastForward.
  2. Complete your FANTIC application. When we receive your application, we'll send you a secure link to upload your required documents.
